Founded in 1858 by the Ditisheim brothers in the Neuchâtel mountains — a cradle of Swiss precision watchmaking— Vulcain quickly distinguished itself with masterpieces that earned recognition at numerous international exhibitions.

In 1947, the third generation of the family unveiled a world first: the legendary Cricket caliber, the very first wristwatch equipped with an alarm. This watch soon became a symbol of style and innovation, adorning the wrists of American presidents and earning its iconic nickname, “the President’s Watch.”

Famous also for ist Skindiver Nautique’s dive watches from 60’s, Vulcain has been reviving the legends that shaped its history, under the vision of Guillaume Laidet since 2022.
